Took my friend out to this restaurant recently for her birthday dinner. Beautiful restaurant that is overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge and right alongside the Bay waters. I called to let restaurant know we were running behind on our 5:15pm reservation and wanted to move reservation to 5:30pm. To which they accommodated the requested with no hesitation. When we arrived we were seated promptly by a window overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge which was very beautiful. Note: there is no street parking for this restaurant but they do offer free valet. There is a small parking lot right across from restaurant that has the valet for restaurant. Valet was very nice. Now to Good part the food and drinks!! Drinks: I had the speciality Watermelon Margarita cocktail 5/5 very good and strong, loved that they use fresh watermelon juice for this cocktail. Vodka Martini: My friend had this one and she said it was 5/5 what you would expect from Martini. Kinda hard to mess up on a drink where that only involves Vodka lol Appetizers: We shared our Apps Oysters: 4/5 They were good but a tad bit on fishy side but still good Mussels Spicy Steamed Mussels: 1/5 we both didn't like this one at all. These mussels weren't fresh and were very fishy, this was the only app we didn't finish. The mussels were also a bit sandy when I took a bit into them. The flavor of mussels were ok my spice tolerance is on higher side but I couldn't taste the spice in the mussels at all. It's always a gamble getting shellfish items as the freshness is hit or miss; but I wouldn't order these again. We didn't finish this App. Tuna carpaccio: 5/5 This was the favorite app option we tried and boy it didn't disappoint. One of the best carpaccios I've had, let me tell you I am no carpaccio fan or into any raw meat; but this was amazing. It was sooo good I thought I was biting into a nice cut of steak. So for any beginners like me who were thinking about taking the leap of faith and trying Carpaccio you won't be let down with this. Salad Farro Arugula Salad: 4/5 I am not huge fan of Farro but my friend is. I tried this salad anyway and it was good, very basic salad that consisted of arugula, cherry tomatoes, farro, radish, reggiano in a nice citrusy lemon oil. It was a nice palate cleanser from all the shellfish we had for apps. Was good overall. Entrees shared these as well: Branzino: 5/5 I just love this fish and most restaurants I've been to have consistently executed this when I've ordered it. It's really hard to mess Branzino up because, it doesn't require much seasoning salt, pepper, olive oil, and lemon is all you need to bring this baby out . That's why I love ordering it as I know I won't be disappointed. This was very tasty and was cooked to perfection. Fillet Mignon: 2/5 Not the biggest fan of this dish. The steak was a good quality steak but lacked a lot of flavor, I am not sure if they even salted or peppered this one. But it definitely could use some, I know some places feel like if it's a good quality steak you don't need any seasoning. I beg to differ and prefer my steak comes seasoned. The Mash Potatoes it came with were 1/5 for me, they lacked flavor, were lumpy, and didn't at all have creamy consistency that Mash Potatoes should have. I don't think any dairy was in these potatoes for that matter, they seemed dairy free. Which wasn't stated on the menu, it would have been better if some cream or even butter was added. We didn't finish this item also. Dessert we opted to drink our dessert and I had a single cappuccino, and my friend had another beverage. Ambiance: 5/5 Very intimate with great view overlooking Golden Gate Bridge. Great place for Date night spot to take you significant other, or to celebrate Anniversary. As it had a deck area you could walk and check out the Bay. Even caught few folks fish for some Dungeness crab while we dined lol. Service: 4/5 The server was very friendly and attentive. I have to dock a star due to not receiving any sort of acknowledgment of my friend's Birthday. When making Reservations I noted special occasion was Birthday, nothing was brought out; not sure if this was not communicated to the Server of the occasion. I feel even if an establishment doesn't give any complimentary dessert, they should make sure to acknowledge any celebratory occasion. Overall, Great place for Date Night, or Anniversary, food is good, and the views are even better. This will not be my last visit.

This review is well overdue. We visited the Caprice for an early Mother's Day dinner. We had to reschedule our dinner for the same day, which I'm glad they had availability. It was definitely a bit chilly when we got there, and unfortunately, the fog was very low that day, which meant no view of the bay, but it was still an amazing view of the water. This restaurant is small and a bit crowded. However, the restrooms are right at the entrance, which was pretty convenient. One of the biggest perk of this restaurant is the view. I don't think you can get a bad seat in this restaurant. Our server was Dimitre. He was a great server and was very attentive to our table. We got a couple of different food items: Epi Bread- I'm not sure why the bread wasn't free but this bread was good. APPETIZER: Tuna Carpaccio: Highly recommend this appetizer. Eat the sauce with the epi bread and you're golden. MAINS: Colorado Lamb Chops topped with Dungeness crab- I love lamb chops. and the crab topping was so good to add to this lamb chops. This was well made and I enjoyed this very much. Ribeye- The ribeye was amazing. Cooked well and great quality meat. Fettuccine- My boyfriends mom ordered the pasta to match it with the ribeye and she split it with her husband. They both finished their plate so im assuming it was both good. SIDES: Crispy Vegetable Pot Brussel Sprouts- the brussel sprouts was very addicting, which means it was really good. Idk how they made it but we finished all our sides. DESSERT: Creme Brulee Cheesecake Mango Panna Cotta Drinks: Rose Peach Sangria Cappuccino Coffee We have no complaints on any of our food from the apps all the way to dessert. We enjoyed everything. Also it wasnt crazy expensive. I would love to come back to experience their brunch one of this days.
